Hardware Requirements

You may be asking, "What hardware do I need to use this system and how expensive is it?" These are great questions. While you will have to purchase a phone or conversion box up front, most customers still see savings in their first month over a traditional phone line!

But, back to the question . . . There are basically two different types of hardware that you can purchase to gain access to the system. The first is a VoIP Phone. These can range anywhere from $50 on up to around $500 per phone depending on what extra features you want on the phone itself. Now, I know that is big difference and you probably want to know how much it is going to cost YOU! There is really no way to answer that question as some people want a very basic phone with little or no features and others want the most expensive thing they can buy! I can tell you that a good, well rounded VoIP Phone can be purchased new for around $100-$120.

The second kind of hardware that can be purchased is a Conversion Box. As with phones, the prices vary, but a good conversion box can be purchased for around $40 new. A conversion box can be plugged into a traditional phone to turn it into a VoIP Phone. A converstion box can also be plugged into your home so that all of you extension phones work on a single line.
